A humanoid robot has attracted attention online after performing Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic “Siuuu” celebration during a football demonstration.

Sky Sports Football shared the video on its Instagram page on Monday, showing the robot participating in a football activity before jumping and landing with its arms outstretched, closely mimicking the celebration made famous by the Portuguese football star.

The footage comes amid growing interest in humanoid robots and their ability to perform increasingly complex physical movements.

Chinese humanoid robots have also recently attracted attention in athletics. One such robot reportedly completed a 100-metre run in 9.39 seconds, faster than Usain Bolt’s 9.58-second human world record.

However, the robot’s time does not qualify as an official athletics world record because robotic competitions and demonstrations are conducted under different rules and conditions from human track events.

Ronaldo’s “Siuuu” celebration remains one of the most recognisable gestures in football and has been widely imitated by players and fans around the world.
