Eko Electricity Distribution Plc (EKEDP) has informed customers in the Ikoyi area of Lagos that the ongoing power outage will continue until Thursday, July 2, 2026, as engineers carry out scheduled preventive maintenance on the network.
In a service interruption notice issued on Wednesday, the electricity distribution company said the maintenance exercise commenced on Tuesday, June 30, and is progressing as planned.
According to EKEDP, the exercise is aimed at carrying out critical network upgrades to improve the reliability and stability of electricity supply within the Ikoyi area.

“Our engineers are actively carrying out critical upgrades to ensure improved power reliability in your area. Supply will be restored as soon as the maintenance concludes on July 2,” the company stated.
EKEDP appealed to customers in the affected areas to remain patient while the work is being completed, assuring them that the temporary disruption is necessary to enhance the quality of power supply.
The company also expressed appreciation to customers for their understanding and cooperation during the maintenance period.
