2027: APC Stakeholders Urge Tinubu To Resolve Eti-Osa Constituency 1 Ticket Dispute

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Eti-Osa Constituency I, Lagos State, have appealed to President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the dispute over the party’s ticket for the constituency ahead of the 2027 elections.

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Eti-Osa Constituency I, Lagos State, have appealed to President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the dispute over the party’s ticket for the constituency ahead of the 2027 elections.

The stakeholders are seeking the restoration of Noheem Adams as the APC candidate, arguing that he won the party’s primary election held on May 20, 2026.

According to the group, Adams secured 7,638 votes against 1,225 votes recorded by his challenger, Saheed Bankole, in the primary.

However, the APC’s published list of candidates for the election names Bankole as the party’s candidate, a development that has generated controversy among members in the constituency.

The stakeholders, comprising ward leaders, grassroots mobilisers, youths, women and other party members, called on the party leadership to address the dispute through dialogue and reconciliation.

They urged the APC to take into account the outcome of the primary and the views of party members at the grassroots in resolving the controversy.

“Politics is local,” the stakeholders said, stressing the importance of considering the position of local party members in resolving the dispute.

They argued that addressing the disagreement would help strengthen confidence in the party’s internal processes and prevent divisions ahead of the 2027 elections.

“We seek justice, but we equally seek peace. We seek restoration, but we equally seek reconciliation,” they said.

The stakeholders appealed to Tinubu to “hear the voice of the grassroots, respect the choice of the locals, reconcile our political family” and facilitate an amicable resolution of the dispute.
